When talking about Men’s Formals, the suit is always the most elegant item of clothing a man can wear. Just though, when people speak of suits, they always refer to the traditional black suits worn by every man in almost every occasion. As many are constantly in search for equally elegant and sleek alternatives, white suits are becoming more and more popular. Not as easy to pull off than its black counterpart, but when properly donned, can make a man striking, dashing and truly impressive!
As the world’s biggest brands saw the potential of men’s white suits, and started making their own line of this trend, its recognition became so drastic and now called the new black, might replace the staple black suits in men’s wardrobes. Thanks to the advent of designer brands like Dolce & Gabbana, Versace, Gucci and Banana Republic, their runway shows did open the eyes of many who are hesitant to don the color. Even in fashion magazines, men are given numerous ideas how to wear the color with style.
Men’s white suits could be worn in a lot of ways to suit different personal styles. If oxfords and loafers are you thing, you are right on track. Normally would look good in white, black or brown loafer and oxfords, other color choices would work perfectly as well as long as perfectly blended with the right shirt and tie. So if the question is on what to wear beneath, that’s where one’s personal choice would come in. Save the all white look for weddings and between memorial and labor days. Going for solid shades of blue, green and earth colors would be a masculine choice. But if you have a leaning towards pastels, that won’t make one less masculine either. More courageous men learned that picking more patterned shirts of a mix of a few colors, would add more character to one’s overall ensemble. As white needs confidence to pull off perfectly, this combination have been seen to work great especially if worn with the right attitude.
Okay, for men who do want to be different but don’t have the courage to slip in something white head to toe, you don’t really have to push it. A white suit jacket would make such strong statement as well. A perfect option to wear in formal dinners and any special functions, it can make a man look elegant, respectable and stylish.
