White-spot? Goldfish? Carbon?
2 of my 3 Goldfish have had white-spot which Ive treated with white spot and fish disease cure however It says I should use Activated Aquarium carbon after 7 days of treatment to clear up the medicine… which It says the carbon is to be put in into the aquarium filter.. However My fishbowl has no filter so is it Ok to just soak the carbon in the water in the net provided & will that have the same affect and how long will it take to work Any advice helpp? and its been 7 days and my the white-spot has not cleared up. I want my Fishies to get better.

first of all move them to a bigger tank, preferably 15+ U.S. gallons. the main reason that you had ich is that a fish bowl is not enough for three goldfish. Things that also contributed to the ich outbreak are: (1)fish are stressed due to lack of space, lack of oxygen, and buildup of CO2 and ammonia(2)no filtration.
so definately you should get a bigger tank as soon as possible. you said it did not clear up so do about 50% water change then add another batch of meds OR follow the instructions on your med if the illness persists. when it clears up, then that’s the time you add the activated carbon and be sure to remove it after maybe a day or two. Please get a bigger tank ASAP..dont let those goldies suffer
