last night i dreamt i was adopted. I had grown very attached to my little brother (a younger andrew keegan look alike but with curly hair -haha). I had a birthday party in my dream and at my party he was crying. he was dressed in a tuxedo and he handed me a card to remember him by. I asked him why he was so sad and why he was doing this and he told me he loved me and missed me but our parents would never offcially adopt him and one day he’d be passed around again. i hugged him and was enraged to learn that what he said was true, our “parents” never adopted him and had no intentions of doing so.

what could this mean? in real life, i am not adopted and i do have a younger brother (biological) but i cant stand him!

you know in psychology there is this thing called “reaction formation”, and it pretty much means that we act in a different way of what we really feel, but it’s totally unconscious, so you are not aware of it.
maybe you really love your brother, but he did something to piss you off, or it could be if he is the youngest, that you may be jealous of him getting more attention from your parents, it could be all sorts of things, and this is why you say you can’t stand him.
