Any great creative ideas for using men’s old neckties?
My husband had to wear neck ties to work for over 30 years. Most of them are outdated now and he doesn’t wear them anymore to work. I don’t want to get rid of them but use them to make something? Something that means something personal about him and his career. Most of them are made of very beautiful material and there is a history to them. What a shame not to use them for something.
Of course, if you want to use them for some kind of memorabilia, the best would be a quilt. This is not a new idea: quilts were originally made of cast off clothes, you would be making something very traditional.
I have seen many things made with ties: toys, vest, skirt, cushion, purse, etc.
