The very first slogan T-shirts were sold back in the 60s by Mr Freedom, a shop located on London’s Kings Road set up by Trevor Myles and Tommy Roberts. Those t-shirts had Disney designs with Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck and the rest of the gang. In the 70s you would have found political-themed T-shirts while in the 80s they reached a saturation point because of Katharine Hamnett, a woman was dressed in a “58% Don’t Want Pershing” model. Things have changed a lot since then, or have they?
Most of the people in this 21st century look upon individuality as an important necessity while others are content to brandish a uniform. Needless to say that in today’s workplaces, the monotony and dullness of a uniform that is worn day after day can become quite depressing and it can even lead out to some serious mental issues. The reason for this is because the people that are forced to wear the same clothing for even years is that they are not able to express their nature and personality through the way they dress.
This article is targeted mostly for work environments but a funny t-shirt with a slogan can brighten up everyone, not just the people over at your job. Employees will definitely enjoy wearing such t-shirts on Friday, as a sign of appreciation from the boss. For example, a t-shirt that has the following slogan: “TEAMWORK… means never having to take all the blame yourself” – will not offend anyone and those people that have a minimum sense of humor will understand it and every time they will ran in to the person that is wearing it will start laughing or at least smile, making the work atmosphere a little bit more relaxing which could altogether improve the efficiency during the work hours.
As long as there is no obscene slogan or a message that is offensive or repulsive, anything goes. This is also a good way to get one another better, to talk about the slogan over a cup of coffee during lunch. We all are different more or less which means that the possibilities for such t-shirts are endless, you can find out for yourself by simply visiting a couple of websites that sell these t-shirts. In addition, if you don’t find anything that you like or that represents you, a great deal of the stores will imprint on the t-shirt the message that you want for a very affordable price. Another funny work-related slogan would have to be the following: “Aim Low, Reach Your Goals, Avoid Disappointment”.
As mentioned before, nobody will feel offended by this slogan, not even your boss, unless he doesn’t have a sense of humor, at all. There are many sources of inspiration as far as choosing a slogan for the t-shirt. Of course, you can come up with a slogan of your own. With the TV, music, movies, Internet and the other types of media, it is virtually impossible not to find the most suitable slogan for your t-shirt.
