Can I use a 40watt light bulb for a lamp with max of 75watt?
I was told that it is possible if I do not mind the brightness of the lamp. But when I tried it, the light came on for bout 30mins with some flickering occasionally. Then it finally gave in and the room became pitch black! Switched to a 60watts light bulb and it worked fine.
You can use any watt bulb as long as it is not over 75 watts. I don’t use anything over 25 watt bulbs myself. It maybe just a bad bulb that lasted only 30 min.
