What are the best guitar amps under £200 for heavy metal?

What are the best guitar amps under £200 for heavy metal? Im talking about playing like metallica, black sabbath. The usual sort of metal. I need it to have a high amount of crunch, quite a bit of heavy distortion as well I guess. I would also like quite a thick tone, I play mainly rythm but I also play lead so I would need it to accomodate both. Thanks

Your best bet is to go with one of the Line 6 spyder amplifiers. Yes, everyone that knows anything about guitar *HATES* Them but for what they cost you’ll get all the effects and such you need.

My advice however is to wait until you can afford a real amplifier. While you can find good deals, you’re really not likely to find anything truly decent for under 500 bucks.
