Groom Wedding
What is the responsibility of the groom’s family re: wedding, rehearsal dinner, etc.?
We are having outdoor wedding. The decorating and rehearsal will be at the site which is my grandmother’s home. We have several family guests staying there from out-of-town. If we do a picnic, does the grooms family pay for it? If we just go out, do we include the SO’s of bridal party? I hate asking his family for anything. HELP
Well today the traditional rules no longer apply. Mostly couples pay for most of the wedding themselves, since the couple gets whatever they want for their wedding so they pay for all those expensive details.
If his family has offered to help, then don’t hesitate to speak-up with what you want/need help paying for. Weddings are expensive, everyone knows that, and many families take pride in helping their kids host their special day. They may not be able to cover all the traditional costs associate with hosting a wedding, but every little-bit helps!
