Which car is better VW golf or Polo?

In terms of reliability, for a first car.
Price doesn’t really matter, i just need to know terms of general reliability. In need a stable car, that problems wouldn’t occur often.
should be good on the motorway.

VW Golf for sure. Get the GTI if possible too. My Friends dad is the VP of marketing for Volkswagon in Texas and he said the Golf probably the most reliable car they currently have and has one of the best resale values even though it is a little low. I drive a 2004 GTI and i love it.
