How to hem dress pants with out a sewing machine or iron?

I do not have a sewing machine or iron. I was wondering if there was a way to hem dress pants without any appliance. I can kind of sew but I am not very good at it, and the only string I have is white and I need black, and I dont have any safety pins either. Will super glue work? I tried glue stick and that didnt help at all.
Thanks for any help you can provide!

Hand sewing is the way to go. Duck out for a seam ripper (to remove the current hem), a packet of hand sewing needles — I prefer embroidery needles because of the large eye, and a spool of matching thread.

You’ll need to press the hem after you’ve turned up the new hem and cut off the excess fabric… in a pinch, you can dampen the edge of the fold and then pull it taut over an incandescent lightbulb… move the fabric to “iron”.
