With so many options to choose from, it can be quite daunting to choose on the best wedding petticoat for your beautiful wedding dress. Your choice depends on a few different factors. There are a lot of small details that need to be accomplished during your wedding, and this choice is just one of them. It’s better to get it taken care of earlier rather than later.
It is important to choose the correct size to fit your dress. Petticoat’s can add some elegance to a beautiful dress, and make you look like the bride you always dreamed of. Some dresses need a special undergarment to make your outfit look right.
Decide what type of petticoat you need first. Do you need one with hoops or with out hoops. If you do need hoops, wear another pettiskirt on top of the hoop layer so the hoops don’t show through as much.
You can choose one made out of netting instead of hoop if you don’t want to bother with them. Netting is usually there to keep your wedding dress from constantly pulling through your legs as you walk. It looks a lot more glamorous to walk down the aisle with out your dress tucking in between your legs, trust me.
Netting is a lot easier to move in then hoops. Hoops take a bit of practice to walk in. Though hoop skirts may require extra practice for modesty’s sake (bending over certain ways lifts up the entire dress) it can be a lovely undergarment for your dress.
Measure your wedding dress to know what size petticoat you need for your wedding dress. Measure from the hem of your wedding dress to your waist and get as close to this length as you can by subtracting an inch or two, no more. You also need to make sure that you get the correct size pettiskirt around your waist so you don’t have to worry about it slipping down.
Ask your family and friends for their recommendations. Try on different pettiskirts and ask them which ones they think look best with your wedding dress. Start by narrowing down which design works best, then try on ones in different sizes and fullness.
