This morning my neon tetras blue stripe was a grayish purple, why?

This morning i woke up and i turned on my fish tank light and saw my two neon’s at the bottom of the tank. there blue stripe was a light Purple or light gray color and they looked sick. But Only an hour later there stripe was a vibrant blue again and they where swimming in the middle of the tank looking fine. what happened to my fish and will this be a daily thing???

I think you will see this quite often if you look at them right after you turn on the light. Many fish change colors while it’s dark.
