Any issues in running or racing in dark colored/black sneakers?

I need to change my Asics. The model I prefer has a black version I like and would like to buy. However, I live in a warmer zone and I have never trained or raced in a pair of dark colored sneakers. I’m interested to know if there is any difference to lighter colored sneaker. Do feet overheat any easier? Any concerns at all? Thanks

As a born Texan and new Floridian, I haven’t had any problems with black shoes overheating my feet. I think your shadow will fall over your feet long enough that the sun won’t get much chance to bake them. I often run even in the 90+ degree range. My body usually heats faster than my feet. Good luck!
