Is it okay to wear basketball shorts to school and about?

Is it normal to wear long (just over knee length) basketball shorts to school or out side (bike, store, etc.)? Do many teen guys? Do they look good… with what type of shirts or shoes.. or hair?
By hair I mean, does short (buzz cut #1,2, 3, 4), mid-length, or long look better with the athletic style?

Yeaaa its normal haha but not in the winter. Yeaa most athletic guys in my class wear b-ball shorts with nike sandals and socks. Haha they look fine . They usually wear loose shirts. Hair they wear it natural
